Super Rich & Gooey Chocolate Protein Brownies

1 stick unsalted butter

3.5 oz dark chocolate, approx. 70%

2 large eggs

1 cup golden caster sugar

Pinch salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup plain flour

3 scoops Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein double rich chocolate

Required: 20cm baking tin line with baking parchment paper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F for fan ovens.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a large pyrex bowl over a pot of boiling water. Do not let the bottom of the bowl touch the water.
  3. Once melted, allow to cool for 5 minutes then beat in the eggs one at a time. Then beat in the sugar until it no longer feels grainy. Stir through a large pinch of salt and the vanilla extract.
  4. Next fold the flour and Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein powder through the chocolate mix until you can no longer see any flour.
  5. Pour the mix into your lined tin and bake in the oven for 16-18 minutes.
  6. Remove and allow to cool completely in the tin before removing and slicing into 12 squares.
