Super Rich & Gooey Chocolate Protein Brownies

110g unsalted butter 

100g dark chocolate, approx. 70% 

2 large eggs 

200g golden caster sugar 

Pinch salt                                           

1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

50g plain flour 

3 scoops Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein double rich chocolate 

Required: 20cm baking tin line with baking parchment paper 

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°/160° for fan ovens. 
  1. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a large pyrex bowl over a pot of boiling water. Do not let the bottom of the bowl touch the water.  
  2. Once melted, allow to cool for 5 minutes then beat in the eggs one at a time. Then beat in the sugar until it no longer feels grainy. Stir through a large pinch of salt and the vanilla extract. 
  3. Next fold the flour and Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein powder through the chocolate mix until you can no longer see any flour. 
  4. Pour the mix into your lined tin and bake in the oven for 16-18 minutes. 
  5. Remove and allow to cool completely in the tin before removing and slicing into 12 squares.
